BREAKING BARRIERSÂ SUPPORTING COMMUNITIES CHANGING LIVES

BLACK AND BLUE PROJECT
Restoring relationships between the Police and Black community.
For too long there has been a barrier between the black community and the police and authorities that seek to serve the community. Viral videos of officers having altercations with or causing injury or death to members of the black community have exacerbated the divide and made the current situation untenable. Our aim is to build a bridge and forge solutions to reduce inter-community crime, mutual respect and a safe and fair environment for all.

About COPS
Community Outreach Project Solution Charity was set up as an over-arching solution to a a wide variety of problems affecting members of the community.
Made up of three innovative projects to combat areas in society that needed an extra helping hand. The charity was first established in 2005 as a community action group responding to the needs of vulnerable people such as the homeless, elderly and single parents struggling with children.
The founder who hit media headlines after overcoming abuse and Having published a book Called The Naked Truth to help other women in her position soon discovered having grown up in church, that many churches would contact the charity asking for support in dealing with victims of that nature.
The Naked Truth Project was created as a result of a need to support other victims of abuse who have felt isolated and wrongfully guilty due to their christian beliefs and fear of judgement. Not wishing anyone to have to pay for support The Project aligned with the Charity in 2010 with annual conferences held across the country.
The Black and Blue Project was created in 2018 and launched in 2020 in order to facilitate the need for local authorities, Police officers and members of the black community to form better relationships and build barriers.
The Founder is also a back female officer who realised that many members of the black community felt isolated and in fear of the police and likewise some police officers felt unable to effectively police diverse communities due to the breakdown of relationships and consequences of negative police involvements which had gone viral such as the recent killing of George Floyd. The Project provides a one stop solution for both parties to engage and a holistic approach for the black community to collectively work together with the police and authorities against inter-community crime and other culturally specific matters that have evoked a nationwide crisis and unrest to find positive solutions to move forward and create a more harmonious society.
